REINT 2011 Council
The business of the REINT is led by a Council, which guides the strategic direction and policy goals of the REINT. The Council works with the CEO and an experienced management team to achieve beneficial outcomes for the Institute and its members. Each Councillor brings a range of expertise to the Council and offers advice and guidance on specific sectors.

Morgan Shearer
President / REIA Delegate & Vice President
Morgan arrived in the NT in 1969 from Adelaide and spent 30 years living and working in Alice Springs. He began his career in Real Estate in 1985 and served as the Southern Delegate of the REINT for 5 years. Morgan was the proud winner of the REINT Auctioneer of the Year in 2000, 2004 & 2006. He is an avid fan of the auction system and has been involved in all aspects of the Real Estate Industry, Morgan is a mad keen golfer and 'fisho'. He has two beautiful daughters both born and bred in the NT and is married to his lovely wife Leanne.

Carol Need
Vice President / Education
Carol has been a in the real estate industry in Darwin for approx 16 years. Carol is a fully licensed agent who owns a small property management portfilo. Carol is a Work Place Trainer and Assessor who has been involved with the REINT education since 1999 working along side the REINT training managers. Carol along with Alison O'Neill attends other Tenancy working groups representing the industry at various forums and meetings.

Phil Pethick
Treasurer
Phil transferred to the Territory in 1988 with Westpac Gove and then onto Darwin and like many before him realised Australia's best kept secret and stayed on.
Phil has worked in the real estate industry since 1996 specialising in Property Management and enjoys the many challenges it throws at him.

Julie Lewis
Body Corporate Chapter
Julie Lewis is the Managing Director of prestige Body Corporate Management, which has operated in Darwin since 2007. Julie has been in the field of body corporate management since 1998. Julie originally hails from Tasmania where she was born and raised. She later travelled to the east coast of Australia with her husband and children and arrived in Darwin in 1991. Julie also lectures at the REINT on Body Corporate Management.

Matthew Knight
Commercial Chapter
Matthew has an extensive property background in the private sector. Since completing a Bachelor of Business in Property in 1995, Matthew moved to Darwin where he has worked in Commercial and Industrial Real Estate for the past 13 years.
After working with Knight Frank for 2 years the owner/Managing Director of the business took up an offer from Knight Frank Australia to move to New Zealand and Matthew was offered and accepted the position of Managing Director of Knight Frank Darwin. Matthew has now been in this role for 30 months.

Alison O'Neill
Property Management Chapter
Allison O’Neill has been one of Darwin's leading Property Managers for 22 years and is the Proprietor of the Property Shop Darwin. She is passionate about real estate & property management issues and is a strong advocate for the profession in dealings with the Government and Public Service. Allison has successfully represented the REINT Council at various levels in negotiations over legislative and regulatory matters. Allison's door is always open to REINT members for advice on tenancy matters.
Allison has served on the REINT council for a number of years and she has also taught as part of the staff conducting the REINT’s Certificate IV courses. She is currently undertaking a law degree.

Steffi Hart
Councilor
Steffi Hart joined the REINT Council in December 2010. Steffi is the Principal and sole Director of Professionals Stephanie Hart Real Estate in Alice Springs. Steffi lists among her many achievements being a Finalist in the 2009 Telstra Business Women’s award and being awarded the 2008 Small business Champion Award for the Northern Territory.
Steffi began her career in Real Estate as receptionist at LJ Hooker Alice Springs in 1992 and since then has gone on to run her own business employing 10 people. She is also a Licensed Land and Business Agent, Licensed Auctioneer, Member of Pittard Training Group Leaders Charter member and first President of Alice Springs Toastmasters International.

Andrew Doyle
Councillor / Southern Delegate
Commencing in Real Estate in 1993, after 10 years in banking, Andrew has grown First National Framptons, with his business partners, to be the largest Real Estate Agency in Alice Springs. Andrew has worked actively in all areas of his Agency from Sales to Residential and Commercial Management and also maintained their Body Corporate portfolio for a time. Andrew previously served as the Southern Delegate on the REINT from 1997 to 2004 Andrew. Outside of Real Estate Andrew spends his time playing golf (not very well), following his daughters netball and is involved in the thoroughbred racing industry as an owner and on the Board of Thoroughbred Racing NT.

Sascha Smithett
Councillor / Sales
Sascha has lived in Darwin since 1999 and has been an active member of the Real Estate Industry throughout that time. Sascha has worked with Defence Housing Australia; the Northern Territory News; First National Real Estate and since 2006, Ray White Real Estate. Since 2008 she has been the Director/ Co-owner and Operations Manager of Ray White Central’s Property Management Department and maintains a n active interest in the residential sales area. Sascha has been the Ray White Northern Territory top performing agent for a number of years, is an “Elite” Ray White agent on a global level and received the 2008 REINT Salesperson of the Year Award.
